Bormio is an alpine town at 1225 mt. above the sea level, located in the centre of High Valtellina. The High Valtellina is located where the borders of Italy, Switzerland and Austria meet, in the heart of the Rhaetian Alps. Bormio is also located on the way to other nice towns to visit: the duty free town of Livigno and Santa Caterina Valfurva. |

From Milan and Bergamo you can take the the main road SS38.
From Bolzano (Brennero feeway) through Stelvio Pass
Through Tonale Pass and Gavia Pass.
From Engadine through Forcola Pass and Bernina Pass.
- Winter access routes
From Milan and Bergamo you can take the the main road SS38.
From the Gallo Pass'Tunnel (closed during night-hours) coming from Engadine, Alto Adige and Austria.
By train
The rail link reaches Tirano (40 km from Bormio). From Tirano to Bormio there are several buses or we can pick you up on request. |
