| |  La Ferme is situated in the rolling Savoyard countryside 15 minute north east of the town of Annecy in Haute-Savoie. It is also just 40min to the south of Geneva. The area is green and calm and you need your car to reach the centre of Annecy, where there are many restaurants, shops, banks and chemists. |
By car:
- Coming from Paris/Calais/Belgium: leave the A40 at J11 (Bellegarde south) for Annecy. Join the N508 to Annecy, passing first through Frangy and later, la Balme de Sillingy, on the outskirts of Annecy.
- Coming from the south and from Geneva: leave the A41 at Annecy nord J17, take the first right at the roundabout - direction Chambery/Bourg en Bresse - and soon after, with the airport on your left, the N508 to Bourg en Bresse and Bellegarde.
- To get to la Ferme from the N508 from either direction:
Leave the N508 - the Annecy/Bourg en Bresse road - a few km outside Annecy taking the D17 to Sillingy. This well signed junction is between the large shopping centre on the town outskirts (Auchan is very prominent) and la Balme de Sillingy, a village on the N508 between Frangy and Annecy. Continue through the village of Sillingy, climbing through Lugy/Arzy and later la Combe de Sillingy. Shortly after la Combe and at the top of the hill, turn left on the D38 to Thusy. Follow the "chambres d'hotes" road signs written in blue. Descend past the village of Sallongy, then climb up the hill to Pesey, our little village. At the top of this hill, turn right at the junction where there is a tiny sign to Pesey, just as the road you are on swings full left. Also just before this junction, you will see a sign in blue directing you to turn right. If you start descending again, you have gone past this junction.
We are then the first house on the left with two sets of large white gates. If you get to Thusy, you have overshot! You can also get to Thusy from Rumilly or Frangy rather than Annecy. From the outskirts of Thusy, again follow the blue "chambres d'hotes" sign in the direction of la Combe de Sillingy to get to our little village of Pesey.
By train:
The nearest railway station is Annecy. From there you can rent a car and follow the above direction.
By plane: the nearest airport is Annecy. From there you can rent a car or we can organise a pick up service for you. |
