The young woman who greeted us at the reception desk was cheerful and professional. She took us to our room and later showed us around the hotel. All the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a lakeview room which we enjoyed very much. There was a little road noise at night, but not enough to keep us awake. The restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices.
There is a peddle boat (fun) and a motor boat for rent.

One of the best hotels we have stayed in with very friendly and obliging staff in an idyllic location. The resturant was better than we could have hoped for. The service was much better than a number of five star hotels. It had all the essentials for a wonderful holiday without unnecessary frills.

Gnats from the lake were a problem if eating at night on the lakeside terrace but not indoors. Can't blame the hotel for that & they did their best to mitigate the problem with insect repellent candles etc.
Fridge (not mini-bar) in our room was much appreciated and we would have used it more if staying longer.

Very friendly, comfortable, relaxing hotel in beautiful lakeside setting with raesonable food & great views across the water from the restaurant, terraces & lake-view rooms. We would go back again in future.

Wonderful hotel, atmosphere, standard of service, 4 course meals served in restaurant excellent, waiters/tress great, swimming pool, sun area, and lovely views over the lake - what more can I say. A lovely place to stay at the Hotel Giardinetto.

On the whole we had a pleasant stay at the Hotel Giardinetto in Pettenasco. However, may we suggest that they instruct their cleaning staff to take better and proper care of the rooms before new customers arrive. Furthermore, a wider range of food would not hurt their breakfast buffet (cost savings ?!).

The hotel facilities were generally of good quality and very clean, however, our 'garden view' room overlooked the parking lot and main road. Not a big problem, but perhaps it should be described as a 'standard' or 'non-lakeview' room!

Check out was smooth and quick, no delays.
And though I hope that other visitors to Italy will not encounter the problems we later had in Milan - we were robbed, and our belongings scattered by the roadside - the people who found my sister's purse called the Hotel Giardinetto - the hotel staff were able to track us down, and we were reunited with most of our belongings only a few hours after they were stolen.
Not an experience I would wish on anyone, but the Hotel Giardinetto staff were most helpful and professional under the circumstances.

Great for families with a young children. There is a small, sandy play area as well as direct lake-access for swimming in the pristine waters of Lago D'Orta.

We changed rooms after one night as one side of the hotel is very exposed to noise from the nearby road and we were looking for quiet. The hotel was happy to accomodate this.

Directions could be more detailed.

Room control of AC was only partial with temperature range limited and overall control (on/off) via the reception computer.
No a big problem but one that could be easily resolved and would improve comfort in the rooms.

Medium sized mid range hotel in a quiet location besides a beautiful lake. Worth a visit for a relaxing holiday.

The Hotel is lovely, the only bad thing was that we were bitten by mosquitos alot. I would reccomend a mosquito net over the beds to protect you from them when you sleep.
