The Hotel du Chateau is located at the foot of the Castle of Annecy. It is at about 10 minutes walking from the train station, 5 minutes walking from the lake, and 20 minutes driving from Meythet Airport. |
By train:
The nearest station is Annecy. From there you can take a taxi or a bus that serves the Chateau d'Annecy. Once you arrive at the Castle you will see Hotel du Chateau, on the left side.
If you prefer you can go by foot, it will take approximately 20 minutes with luggages, and there are 50 meters to climb on the hill. From the train station take Rue de la Poste, and continue in Rue de la République. At the end of the street you will arrive in the old part of the town, turn left in Rue st. Claire, and continue in Rue de l'Isle, then turn right in Rampe du Chateau.
By plane:
The nearest airport is at 9 km, at Metz Tessy. There you can take a taxi, or a bus. Buses leave every 20 minutes, and the last one is at approximately 8:30. They will bring you till the train station of Annecy, from there follow the instructions below.
By car:
From the highway 41 take exit Annecy Sud. From there follow the direction for the Castle "Chateau d'Annecy". We are at the right side of the castle, in the street Rampe du Chateau. |
