Facilities within the Property

At the Quality Hotel Königshof you can choose a half board system offering breakfast and dinner at the restaurant in the building. The first meal is a buffet containing, among many other dishes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, cereals, cornflakes, honey and marmalade. These items are complimented by the usual tea, coffee, chocolate, milk and juices of varied flavours.

In the evening, the typical Bavarian cuisine is there for you to taste: every day there is a fixed menu that begins with a soup, followed by a selected buffet and then the main dishes (usually pork, roast, red or white cabbage are the specialties). By the end of this varied meal, which always has an option for vegetarians, a dessert is available too.

German, English and Spanish are the languages spoken at the inn, where the reception area is open 24 hours a day. If you need baby-sitting, remember to book with a day of anticipation, and 50 parking spaces are offered for an extra charge. A Bistro Bar, a solarium and a sauna complete the facilities, while access to Internet (with your personal computer) is disposed at the second floor, the ground floor and the conference rooms.

Nearby Facilities

There are all sorts of activities to get entertained with at the surroundings of the Quality Hotel Königshof: not only is it set in downtown Garmisch-Partenkirchen, with shops and restaurants to spend the evening, but the closeness to the railway station guarantees the access to nearby attractions. Once you have tried the slopes and reached the top of the Zugpitze, there are museums to visit, like the Wenderfels, featuring the history of the towns, and the Aschenbrenner, famous for its puppets and porcelain creations. In addition to this, you can try the Richard-Strauss-Institut: the musician was born in Garmisch and lived there till his death, though the museum is now located at Partenkirchen: there are expositions and a "sound museum" where you can listen to his magnificent music. At the train station there are also buses leaving to the ski lifts (they reach them in only 5 minutes and are absolutely free, as every other bus in Garmisch-Partenkirchen) and private trains leading to the Zugpitze. The city also has a casino with free entrance and a thermal bath.
